Natalie Black has extensive experience across a range of environmental and planning sectors, and that knowledge and a passion for achieving results sees Natalie regularly meeting client expectations and delivering land use and biodiversity outcomes.

Meet Natalie
Natalie is a highly respected environmental professional and Biodiversity Accredited Assessor, known for her expertise in strategic planning, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, environmental law, and compliance. With a Master of Planning from UTS and a B.Sc (Hons) in Sustainable Resource Management and Marine Science, she brings a high level of understanding in environmental legislation and practical ecology to complex projects across NSW.
Her work spans across fisheries, riparian ecosystems, regeneration, and biodiversity offsets - balancing regulatory rigour with ecological sustainability. As a trained detection dog handler, she partners with Gus, her English Springer Spaniel, to advance Koala conservation through targeted detection surveys.

Natalie’s career includes key roles within state and local government, contributing to conservation policy, planning frameworks, and environmental design. Her courtroom experience adds depth to her work in complex approvals and expert testimony, reflecting a commitment to ecological integrity and public trust.
Curious and tenacious by nature, she’s known for thinking outside the box - whether diving into ecological research, or charging through the bush with Gus, blending scientific precision with a healthy dose of adventure.
