BAM Accredited Assessors
Recognised under the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM), our Accredited Assessors are authorised to carry out ecological assessments that meet the rigorous standards required under the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS).

BAM Assessors
AEP has several Biodiversity Accredited Assessors who are engaged to prepare biodiversity assessments in compliance with NSW regulatory requirements. Our assessors have undergone training and gained accreditation under the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM).

BAM Accredited Assessors are authorised to conduct biodiversity assessments that inform Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDARs) and Biodiversity Certification Assessment Reports (BCARs) which are required for a range of planning approvals. The method provides a transparent framework for calculating biodiversity impacts and offset requirements. Our Accredited Assessors also prepare Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs), which are required for formally setting up Biodiversity Stewardship Sites for biodiversity offset credits generation and conservation management in perpetuity. All of these reports are undertaken in accordance with the BAM.

The application of the BAM is integral to evidence-based environmental decision-making and the sustainable management of native vegetation and threatened species. These assessments contribute to statewide biodiversity data and help to ensure that environmental values are appropriately considered throughout the planning process.

Our Accredited Assessors also regularly provide feedback, participate in workshops, and make submissions to assist in the ongoing improvement of the BOS and the biodiversity legislation framework in NSW.
