About the Role
We are seeking a confident and experienced arboriculture professional who is ready to take on a senior consulting role. You will bring a well‑developed understanding of arboricultural principles, strong industry experience, and the ability to provide informed, high‑level guidance across a diverse project portfolio.
This position is suited to someone who is comfortable working autonomously, contributing expert insight, and supporting the development of others. You will play a key role in shaping project outcomes, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the ongoing growth and refinement of our consulting services. You’ll join a collaborative, solutions‑focused team committed to delivering rigorous, high‑quality arboricultural outcomes for our clients and communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete on‑site tree inspections, health assessments, and hazard evaluations.
• Undertake detailed tree risk assessments, retention assessments, and arboricultural development reports.
• Provide specialist arboricultural advice to clients, contractors, planners, and local government stakeholders.
• Produce clear, accurate, and industry-aligned technical reports.
• Manage, support & deliver projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and local government sectors.
• Use GIS & digital field‑capture tools to collect and analyse data.
• Continue developing your technical capability through professional development.
• Deliver high‑quality arboricultural outcomes across a diverse project portfolio.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less‑tenured arborists, building their capabilities.
• Collaborate with in-house ecologists.
• Undertake ecology work when overflow occurs.

Requirements
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential:
• AQF Level 5 in Arboriculture (minimum).
• 5 years' experience in arboriculture (preferably in consulting).
• Strong experience writing arborist reports, project management & delivery.
• Experience dealing with local councils, developers and planning requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
• Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ).
• Familiarity with Project Administration software (such as Vantagepoint or other applicable software).
• Proficient use of ARCGis mapping software.
• A former climber wanting to stay in the industry without being on the tools full-time but still interested in conducting hands on work occasionally.

As demand for our services grows, we are expanding our team of five (5) AQF5 Diploma qualified arborists and seeking a Senior Arborist who can contribute depth, leadership, and technical confidence to our project portfolio. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working at a high level across complex urban environmental projects, brings strong professional judgement, and is comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
